Jack Smithey, Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

Jack is the SunKast lead singer and rhythm guitarist whose love for music ignited at the age of eight. Growing up in a home filled with melodies, it was the first time he heard the Foo Fighters that truly sparked his passion for rock ‘n’ roll. Since then, he’s immersed himself in the genre, always on the lookout for new bands and sounds.

One of his favorite songs to perform live is “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses, a track that he thinks perfectly captures the energy the band brings to the stage. Influenced by iconic bands like Foo Fighters and The Struts, Jack looks up to musicians such as Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Jimi Hendrix, and Luke Spiller, admiring their contributions to classic rock and dedication to their craft.

In addition to guitar, Jack plays the saxophone and has taken to teaching himself the drums, constantly pushing his musical boundaries.
